SPAN & FB&E: Building a Shared Future Through Employee Ownership

Hi everyone, I’m Tim DeYoung, Senior Project Manager here at SPAN.

This October marks our first Employee Ownership Month celebrating together with FB&E. It’s an opportunity to appreciate what we’re building together and recognize the people whose work makes it possible.

I know how much a successful project depends on people taking ownership of their work. You see it when someone takes the time to help a teammate or speaks up about a concern before it becomes a problem. Those decisions matter. They affect the people around us and help strengthen the company we all have a stake in.

That’s what makes employee ownership meaningful. Through our ESOP, we have the opportunity to share in the value we help create. The effort we put in today can contribute to our future, giving us a personal connection to the company’s success.

Having FB&E as part of SPAN gives us an opportunity to learn from one another and accomplish more together. Each team brings experience that can help us grow, and I’m excited to continue working more closely with our FB&E teammates on future projects.

As we celebrate this month, I encourage you to learn more about the ESOP and ask questions. You deserve to understand what employee ownership means for you and how your work contributes to our shared success.

Thank you for the care you put into your work and for looking out for one another. I’m proud to be an Employee Owner alongside you, and I’m looking forward to what we’ll build together.

Happy Employee Ownership Month!
